I found Apocalypse Coffee Roasters by accident driving down US1. Best accident ever. I have enjoyed all the flavors I have bought there, right now Armageddon is my #1. I love being able to have the coffee delivered, but the shop is so much fun, I just go there for the enjoyment.

Pre-2020
Mike and Lisa run a beloved music venue + coffee lounge in Melbourne. Mike is the host, keeping the room running, making sure everyone who walks in feels like a regular by their second visit. Lisa is on a quiet hunt for a coffee good enough to serve their guests.
The Venue Years
2017
No organic coffee on the market hits her bar. So she buys a manual drum roaster and stands behind it. Twenty thousand hours later, she has profiles dialed to the second.

Late 2019
Mike's sister Christine and her husband Justin move back to Florida from Los Angeles. She's an artist building her own body of work. He's spent a decade designing immersive installations for museums. They're figuring out what comes next.
Family Reunion

Everything locks down. Plans collapse. The four sit across a kitchen table and bet on the coffee. If the world is going to change anyway, they'll build something worth having on the other side.
The World Stops

Justin designs the destination, the murals, the room, the world of ACR. Christine builds the brand identity and the logos. Mike & Lisa develop every drink on the menu. The first cafe opens in the middle of a global shutdown. People come back. Then they bring friends.

Demand outgrows the original. The family opens a second destination in West Melbourne. Same beans, same precision, a new corner of the city.
